Welcome to NH Outlook, I'm Ally McNair, sitting in for Richard Ager. Bullying has grabbed national headlines over the past year with dramatic and often tragic stories that end in suicide. For many people, however, the problem is one that they live with quietly and painfully. Today, we open the doors on bullying -- shedding light on the nature of the problem, examining some of the preventative measures and looking at a new law in NH that was written to protect students from bullying. Joining me today is Maxine Mosely - a middle school guidance councilor from Manchester, Dr. Malcolm Smith - a family life and family policy specialist at the University of NH Cooperative Extension, and Bully Free NH founder Carol Croteau. We'll also hear from two teens who were bullied. |
